Black Friday Turns Deadly

Black Friday became a day of sadness for one community in Colorada Springs when a lone gunman walked into a planned parenthood clinic and opened fire on several people killing 3 and injuring 11 before surrendering.

One police officer from, the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and two civilians  was shot and killed by an unidentified gunman  in what police are calling a standoff that took place at the planned parenthood in Colorado Springs. The gunman engaged in a  shootout and standoff with police that lasted 5 hours before the gunman surrendered. No word yet on a motive.

Colorado Springs, Mayor John Suthers was visibly upset as he expressed his heart felt condolences to the families of the deceased.

The gunman took homemade IUDs into the building with him, but at some point changed his mind. A car believed to belong to him is currently being processed for explosives.

One witness said she was at the building across the street when she heard gunfire.

Peggy Masias said she had gone into the grocery store when she came out she heard someone say there was a shooting at planned parenthood. “I ran to my car. And I heard, Pop! Pop! Pop! I heard someone yell, ‘get down.’  And so I did.”
“I have been in that planned parenthood and it seemed pretty secure.” She added.
